DESCRIPTION

nC® Protect 4500 Glass Sealant is a transparent fluid based on hydrophobic nanotechnology. Its formulation chemically bonds on and into glass surfaces. nC ProTect 4500 Glass Sealant is specifically designed to make glass and ceramics completely dirt-repellent and easy-to-clean. Salt and calcium will not stick. Bird droppings will not bake in. nC® Protect 4500 Glass Sealant can work for one to three years.

               

After application an invisible bonded matrix of nano silica and quartz is formed inside and on the glass surface. The product will not affect adhesives, bonded parts, silicone sealants or kits. Use of soaps and chemicals for cleaning is not structurally needed. This cost reduction, combined with a very high spread rate of approximately 15ml per m² (industrial) to 25ml per m² (manual) makes nC® PoTect 4500 Glass Sealant extremely cost efficiënt.         

               

nC® Protect 4500 Glass Sealant is user ready and can be applied by mopping, wiping, brushing, rolling or spraying. It contains no fluor, teflon, biocides or metals. nC® ProTect 4500 Glass Sealant can be processed at temperatures ranging from 5°C up to 25°C.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

  • Glass must be free from grease, kit or glue.
  • Glass must be free from moss or mold.
  • Glass must be dry.
  • Ambient temperature during application must be between 5° C and 40° C.
  • Surface temperature must be between 5° C and 40° C.
  • Do not apply when ambient humidity exceeds 80%.
  • Do not apply in a dusty environment.
  • Do not apply during rain or heavy winds.
  • Do not apply in direct sunlight.
  • Wear protective gloves and safety goggles during application.
  • Do not eat, drink or smoke during application.
  • Do not dilute or thin nC ProTect 4500 Glass Sealant.
  • Soak microfibre cloth with nC ProTect 4500 Glass Sealant.
  • Apply nC ProTect 4500 Glass Sealant by polishing the glass surface with the soaked microfibre cloth.
  • Spread thinly and evenly.
  • nC ProTect 4500 Glass Sealant forms a greyish fog on the surface, right after saturation of the substrate.
  • Apply another coating layer as described above.
  • Allow the surface to dry for 2 minutes.
  • Dried product or foggy residues can now be polished out.
  • Any dry product or foggy residue still visible on the surface must be removed with a clean water soaked sponge.
  • Leave item to dry for 1 to 2 hours protected from water, rain, frost or chemicals, depending on ambient air humidity.
  • Do not use forced drying air or elevated temperature during curing.
  • Glass is ready for full exposure after 2 hours.
  • Clean tools, spraynozzles with water immediately after every stop.
  • Wash hands and face after every stop.

 

As nanotechnology is about bonding into surfaces and matrices of nanoparticles need to be built up after application, the treatment reaches full performance AFTER a cure time of approximately 12 to 24 hours, which is dependent upon environmental variables, humidity and heat applied. Tests of maximum performance should be performed after full cure.

LIMITATIONS

  • Product CAN NOT be painted over.
  • Do not use forced or heated air to accelerate drying. Do not attempt to accelerate drying.
  • Do not allow application during freezing temperatures.

LOGISTIC INFO

  • Store nC® Protect 4500 Glass Sealant at temperatures between 5° C and 25° C.
  • nC® Protect 4500 Glass Sealant can be stored for 3 years in unopened or tightly closed containers.
  • Keep containers tightly sealed and store in a dark place.
  • Avoid freezing product.
  • nC® Protect 4500 Glass Sealant is available in 250ml, 1L, 5L, 20L and 200L containers.
  • Never use pressure to empty drums.
  • Dispose of contents/container in accordance with local/regional/national/international regulations.
