nC® ProTect 4400 Hull Sealant
nC® Protect 4400 Hull Sealant is a transparent coating developed to protect materials from abrasion, absorption and polluting. It can be applied on polyester, UHMWPE (Dyneema, Spectra), (U)HDPE, PMMA, kevlar, metals, aluminium and stainless steel and lacquered surfaces.
nC® Protect 4400 Hull Sealant bonds chemically into materials and their surfaces. It forms a matrix inside the material. The surface develops a very flexible ultra-thin, impermeable, gloss-like finish. Consequently, this finish is very suitable to protect against negative chemical and environmental influences. Dirt, dust, grease and organic pollution cannot adhere to the treated surface. Cleaning of the surface is seldomly required, and if so, can be done by hosing down or pressured air without the need of chemicals or soap.
nC® Protect 4400 Hull Sealant is capable of re-installing the colour of chalked or slightly bleached surfaces. Revitalising the colours of rolling doors, weathered car paints, yachts, bumpers or building facades is very easy and effective with this sealant.
nC® Protect 4400 Hull Sealant is user ready and can be applied by brush, roller, cloth or airgun (HVLP). It has an extreme good spread-rate of 80m² per liter. The Sealant will protect the material it is applied on for up to 15 years.
FACTS & FIGURES
Heated to 60° C for 15 minutes: 3 hours;
Heated to 80° C for 15 minutes: 2 hours;
Heated to 180° C for 15 minutes: 1 hour;
Full strength will be reached after 3 to 5 days, Mohs hardness 9 – 10.
The product is dry to touch within 2 up to 3 hours. As nanotechnology is about bonding into surfaces and matrices of nanoparticles need to be built up after application, the coating reaches full insulating ability
AFTER a cure time of approximately 3 to 5 days, which is dependent upon environmental variables, humidity, and thickness of coat used. Test of maximum performance should be performed after full cure. Benefits will typically begin to be seen approximately 24 hours after application, and will continue to improve as the cure time completes. Cure time won’t interfere with normal operations, you can start using the treated materials after 24 hours and continue to use your equipment as usual while the product cures.
